Love's Selects Blue1USA as DEF Mini-Bulk System Provider
Oklahoma City, OK – July 9, 2010 – Love's Travel Stops announced today that they have begun installing Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) storage and dispensing systems at their fuel islands across the country.
"We have evaluated a variety of DEF systems over the last two years and found Blue1USA to have the best equipment that meets the needs of our customers. These systems allow us to purchase DEF in larger volumes at a significantly reduced price. We then pass that savings on to our customers. In response to our customer's growing DEF demand, we will be adding these bulk dispensing systems at key locations within our network on a regular schedule moving forward", states Terry Ross, Vice President, Construction & Environmental Services, for Love's.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is one of the key elements in the SCR process. It is a nontoxic solution of 67.5% purified water and 32.5% urea. When injected into a diesel vehicle's exhaust the DEF helps convert harmful NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen and water. DEF is stable, colorless, odorless, and meets accepted international standards for purity and composition.

Blue1USA Announces Steel Tank Liner Compatible with Diesel Exhaust Fluid
Duluth, GA – Blue1USA and Carboline Coatings Co. announced today an epoxy liner product for carbon steel storage tanks that is compatible with Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF). Independent third party testing has been conducted with positive results that meet ISO 22241-1 standards. This product breakthrough will now give SCR fleet owners, retail customers and tank car companies an economical solution for the bulk storage and transport of DEF.
Charles Culverhouse, Blue1USA's Sales and Marketing Manager stated, "Customers have been asking us for a long-term, economical solution for the bulk storage of DEF. It is the ideal solution for underground storage tanks since the temperature concerns of the product have been virtually eliminated. And it is certainly much more cost effective than stainless steel tanks. This exclusive, proprietary liner is the perfect solution for those customers who will be purchasing, storing or transporting DEF in bulk."
Managing Partner, Dave Polak adds, "We are pleased with the relationship developed with Carboline since this quest began. Their research, expertise and recognition as one of the premier coating suppliers in the world have given us the confidence that we now have the ideal strategic partner to help our customers with all their DEF storage needs. And, most importantly, this liner has already been approved for use by the DEF suppliers themselves."
Andy Williams, National Account Rep. for Carboline states, "Carboline/Plasite has been providing long term coating solutions for over sixty years. This Plasite liner solution is suitable for steel, aluminum and fiberglass substrates. We are pleased to be partnering with Blue1USA and honored to be chosen as their supplier of choice."
Effective Jan. 1, 2010, the EPA has mandated that all on-road diesel engines must meet new, stricter emissions standards. The most widely accepted technology used to meet these standards is Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) which injects DEF directly into the exhaust stream transforming the harmful NOx emissions into harmless water vapors and nitrogen. ISO 22241-3 states that carbon steel is not compatible with DEF. But when a steel tank is properly lined with this proprietary liner Blue1USA certifies that the DEF will continue to meet the ISO 22241 specifications.
Blue1USA is a fully integrated manufacturer and distributor of DEF Storage and Dispensing Systems for both the commercial and retail markets.
